About the College

Coleg y Bala is a centre for children and young people owned by the Presbyterian Church of
Wales.
Coleg y Bala was built in 1867 as an Educational academy and became a Theological College
in 1891. Since 1969 it has been run as a youth centre and is going from strength to strength.
Coleg y Bala’s aim is to introduce the Christian faith in a lively and contemporary way.
Our objective at Coleg y Bala is to remind our youth of the need for a personal faith in Jesus
Christ.
Christian education courses for schools are arranged at Coleg y Bala.
